This summer camp is all about pollinators! Campers will learn about the monarch butterfly and the honey bee through a variety of hands on activities and crafts to take home!
Day 1- Introduction to the Honey Bee & Pollination
This day will focus on Wisconsinís state insect the Honey bee and pollination. Campers will learn the Honey beeís lifecycle, pollinate flowers around Barkhausen, and plant native seeds to take home!
Day 2 - Monarch Butterfly
The Monarch butterfly and milkweed are the stars of this day. Campers will learn the lifecycle of a Monarch, hunt for milkweed and caterpillars, create their own nursery, and go home with a caterpillar or eggs!
Registration Information: Camp cost is $50 per child for 2 half days of camp. Be sure to provide the participantís t-shirt size (child size t-shirts) when registering. Please remember preregistration is required and payment is to be made in full at the time of registration. Space is limited so please call Barkhausen at 920-434-2824 to register and for more information.
A full refund will be given if cancelling prior to 2 weeks before camp start. If cancelling within 2 weeks of the camp start date, a refund will be given less a $10 cancellation fee.
